Stipends and benefits

Housestaff for all Northwestern University affiliates (including Children's Memorial Hospital) are employed by and receive benefits through the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University.

Resident Stipends

Trainees assigned to and funded by member institutions of the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University will receive a stipend according to the following schedule.  The stipends listed below are for the 2009-2010 year and apply to residents only. 

1st year of training:                                   $48,270

2nd year of training:                                 $50,519

3rd year of training:                                  $53,122
