Continuity Clinic

One half day each week residents attend their own outpatient primary care continuity clinic in either the Lincoln Park or Uptown neighborhood. For three years, residents are primary care pediatricians for their own panel of patients.

Special effort is made to ensure that residents' patients do not have an excess of complex medical problems so that residents are able to focus on providing well child care for relatively healthy children. By seeing patients on the same day of the week over three years, residents are able to follow patients through different stages of growth and development and form a long-lasting bond. This is one of the most rewarding aspects of residency.
