Received a three-year, $640,000 Department of Health and Human Services,
Health Resources and Services Administration grant for a study, "Retaining
graduates through a pediatric RN internship." The purpose of this grant is to
fully implement and evaluate a pediatric RN internship program designed to
prepare new graduate nurses for a rewarding career in the care of children and
their families.

Received a $5,893 grant from Nellcor/Tyco Healthcare, Inc. for a study,
"Evaluation of Pulse Oximetry sensors in Neonates." The purpose of the grant is
to compare sensor longevity and skin integrity with two different oximetry
probes.
