Look who’s new on staff

Erin E. Rowell, MD , joined the Division of Pediatric Surgery in September. Dr. Rowell recently finished her fellowship in Pediatric Surgery at Children’s Memorial. Dr. Rowell will see patients in Lincoln Park and Arlington Heights. Her special interests include advanced minimally invasive surgery, neonatal surgery, hernias and undescended testicle, surgery for tumors of the chest, abdomen and pelvis, thyroid disease, disease of the spleen, pectus deformities, surgery for reflux disease, anorectal malformations and surgical ethics.

Jennifer Reichek, MD , joined the Division of Cancer and Blood Disorders in August. Her special interests include solid tumors, palliative care and the psychosocial effects of pediatric cancer including PTSD, depression and family dynamics. Dr. Reichek will see oncology patients in Lincoln Park.

Look what’s new at Children’s Memorial

Expanding Audiology Services
Children’s Memorial Hospital is opening an additional Audiology office across the street from the main hospital at 2308 N. Lincoln Ave. Audiology is also adding new staff to the Children’s Memorial Outpatient Centers in Glenbrook and Westchester. Magdalene Sikora, AuD will be joining the team at Westchester and Nancy Otwell, MS will be increasing her hours at Glenbrook. Late afternoon and early evening appointments will now be available at these locations. Both Magdalene and Nancy are certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association. Patients can schedule appointments by contacting 1.800.KIDS DOC.

Children’s Memorial now staffs Northwest Community Hospital’s dedicated pediatric emergency department
Expanding its nearly 20-year relationship with Northwest Community Hospital, Children’s Memorial now staffs the Arlington Heights hospital’s dedicated pediatric emergency department. Full-time board-certified/eligible physicians in pediatric emergency medicine see pediatric patients daily from noon to midnight. Children’s Memorial also provides 24/7 inpatient services at NCH, with hospitalists and neonatologists, and operates an outpatient center in NCH’s Busse Center for Specialty Medicine, offering close to 20 different specialties.
