Skylight TV—our own television station

Kohl's proudly underwrites Skylight TV through the Kohl's Cares for Kids program. Throughout the year, Kohl's features special items in its stores priced at $5 each with 100 percent of the net profits going to support health and educational opportunities in the communities it serves across the country.

Skylight TV is our closed circuit, interactive television station. Broadcast from the Skylight Studio in The Janice and Kimbery Brown Life Center, Skylight TV is available in patients' rooms on channel 16.

Skylight TV produces four live shows every week: Body Parts, Hospital and Safety Bingo, Storytime with Dot and Morning Jam with Jim.

Chaplain Jim Manzardo's popular sing-along, "Morning Jam with Jim," delights youngsters of all ages.

In the past, Skylight TV special guests have included Fred Rogers, Amy Grant, Roger Baum, Jim Fowler, William Wegman, Barney, Ronald McDonald, the Harlem Globetrotters, and many stars from Chicago's professional sports teams.

In addition to its live programs, Skylight TV also airs videos throughout its programming day. As another alternative to commercial TV, Skylight also offers Channel 14, with classical music and soothing images of marine life from the Shedd Aquarium. Skylight TV has produced numerous videos related to hospitalization and health care.
