Interpreting services
As patients and families, you have the right to
have complete information regarding diagnosis, prognosis and treatment in a
language you understand. We strive to provide our services in the
languages of our patients and families.
Services include:
- Spanish language interpretingfrom 8:30 a.m. to
midnight, seven days a week.
- Polish language interpreting from 7:30 a.m. to 4
p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Interpreting for all other languages, including Arabic,
Chinese, Bosnian/Croatian, Russian, Serbian and Vietnamese to be scheduled
in advance of an appointment with external agencies.
- Phone-based interpretation is available at all times
for all languages.
- Locating community and hospital resources, such as
support groups or educational materials about child development.
Note: Sign-language interpreters may be scheduled in advance but can also be
reached for emergency needs by contacting the Manager of Interpreting Services
(Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm) or the Administrative Coordinator during all
other hours.
