The Department of Surgery works in partnership with REMEDY to donate surgical supplies to developing nations to assist with pediatric surgeries. REMEDY is a group of health care professionals and others promoting the nationwide practice of recovery of open-but-unused surgical supplies. The goal of the program is to provide international medical relief while reducing solid medical waste from US hospitals.
