Frequently asked questions
What is the Tell Us Your Story project?
The personal experiences of the patients and families we serve, our dedicated employees, volunteers and community members, represent the heart of Children's Memorial. As we celebrate our 125th anniversary, we want to reach out and gather those stories. By sharing your story, you help us to better understand our own history and mission, while shaping our vision for the future.
What will you do with my story?
Our publications and Web site often feature stories from our patient families, physicians and donors. The Tell Us Your Story project will build upon this library of stories and plant the seeds of what we hope will become a historical archive and online community. A place where families can reach out and support each other, our employees and care-giving teams can be honored and gain insight into the work of their colleagues, and our community can learn more about the work done at Children's Memorial.
What kind of stories are you looking for?
We know that your story is as unique as you are. After 125 years of treating children, our history is rich with inspirational stories from the lives of patients, families, caregivers and supportive community members. You may be a current or former patient, family member, volunteer, donor or staff member. If Children's Memorial has played a role in your life — big or small — we want to hear from you.
Can I send you my story in the mail?
Of course. Please include your contact information (name, address, phone number) with your typed or handwritten story and mail to:
