Children's Memorial is an extraordinary place, filled with remarkable people and life-changing experiences. It is a beacon of hope and healing, a home for heroes.

Our heroes are the children and families bravely facing health challenges. Our heroes are the doctors, nurses and staff who do everything they can to heal critically ill children, both physically and emotionally, to give them their best chance at a healthy life. Our heroes are the scientists who pursue a brighter tomorrow through research discoveries that will lead to better treatments and cures. Our heroes are the donors who give generously to invest in the hospital's mission and future.

maggie Maggie's fighting spirit

When 4-year-old Maggie was born at Evanston Hospital, doctors discovered she had a mass underneath her tongue about the size of a golf ball.

will Will thrives thanks to sickle cell expertise

When Julie and Sarah adopted their son, Will, at 12-days-old, everything seemed fine. But several weeks later, blood tests revealed he had a particularly severe form of sickle cell disease.
