Take a sneak peek (slideshow) »

Our main hospital is moving and we are becoming
Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago

After 130 years of treating the most critically ill children in Chicago and beyond, we are moving to a state-of-the-art facility at 225 E. Chicago Avenue in Chicago. Our new 23-story main hospital will allow us to provide better, more efficient care to every child who needs us.

Why are we moving to this location?

  • To be closer to our academic partner, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine
  • To continue to attract and retain the best staff
  • For a stronger collaboration with adult researchers and clinicians
  • To improve transition of our patients into adult care
  • For even faster transport for critically ill newborns from Prentice Women’s Hospital

The new hospital is named in recognition of Ann Lurie’s $100 million gift. Read a Q&A with Ms. Lurie »

Supporting a greater purpose

Our future site and facility are necessary elements that will support our greater purpose − to provide children with access to the most advanced cures, treatments and technologies performed by the best minds in pediatric medicine and research in a family-centered environment.
