January 19, 2010 - On Wednesday, January 6, a team of 23 medical staff including nurses from Children’s Memorial traveled to Haiti for a medical mission trip with the organization Little by Little Haiti. The team was just outside Port-au-Prince in the village of Gramothe when the devastating earthquake struck. They quickly mobilized and began helping victims by using brooms for splints and scrubs for bandages. In the first several hours, they treated close to 200 people.
