The most fundamental characteristic of the culture at Children's Memorial Hospital is our commitment to our employees.

The most fundamental characteristic of the culture at Children's Memorial Hospital is our commitment to our employees.  Through our Employee Promise, we commit to providing a challenging, yet compassionate work environment, helping employees achieve their personal and professional goals, recognizing strong performance, and listening to employee feedback and acting on it.  These four commitments are the foundation of our organization.

Promoting a healthy work/life balance is one of the key ways that we fulfill our employee promise. By providing work schedule flexibility and convenient access to services such as backup family care and onsite BA and MBA programs, we are able to provide support to working parents at all levels throughout the organization. We also offer many other benefits, including a comprehensive wellness program, free financial counseling, free concierge services, as well as many other services that assist employees in maintaining a positive work/life balance.

Employee recognition is vital to sustaining a positive work experience for our employees. The combined result of all of the recognition programs at Children's Memorial Hospital is a work environment where employees are frequently recognized for their contributions to the organization.

At Children’s Memorial, soliciting and acting upon feedback that we receive from our employees is an essential to maintaining a positive work environment.  Through Senior Leadership rounds, town hall meetings, employee opinion surveys, monthly department meetings, and employee focus groups, we offer employees the opportunity to share feedback on ways to make their work experiences positive. Beyond these formalized programs, we foster a culture where employees are encouraged to provide frequent feedback to managers and senior leaders on ways to improve their work experience.
