For more than a decade, Children's Memorial Hospital has worked closely with
our local community partners to support the mission of the hospital in a manner
that respects the quality of life of the institution's Lincoln Park neighbors.
The mission of the community relations department is to ensure that the
hospital is a responsible and contributing partner in the Lincoln Park
community.
Community relations subcommittees
The community relations department manages two subcommittees that meet
regularly with Lincoln Park Community members.
1. Community relations committee
The community relations committee, which was initiated in 1990, is composed
of representatives of Children's Memorial's management and leaders of local
community organizations.
By addressing issues of common concern between Children's Memorial and its
neighbors, the committee helps the hospital fulfill its mission in a manner that
respects the quality of life of the institution's Lincoln Park neighbors.
Meetings of the committee are held quarterly.
2. Community-wide forum
The mission of the community-wide forum is to improve the quality of life in
the Lincoln Park community.
By addressing issues concerning the welfare of Lincoln Park residents, the
forum helps the hospital fulfill its mission in a manner that respects the
quality of life of the institution's neighbors.
The forum's membership includes representatives of Children's Memorial's
management and leaders of local community organizations.
Meetings of the community-wide forum are held two or three times a year.
