Our highly skilled faculty, comprehensive clinical services, and innovative research programs all contribute to an exceptional training environment, demonstrating our commitment to continued excellence in pediatric medicine.

The department is ranked 15th nationally, and the Feinberg School is ranked 18th overall, in the 2013 U.S. News & World Report rankings of top research-oriented medical schools in the country.
  • As the pediatric surgery training center of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, our Department of Surgery provides formal resident education in each of its ten divisions. Our surgeons also train rotating residents from Rush University, the University of Illinois, and the University of Chicago. In addition, we provide subspecialty programs approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education in Pediatric General Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, Congenital Cardiac Surgery, and Urology through the Feinberg School of Medicine.
