Volunteers serve as important links to the community. Through their volunteer work, they understand the mission and vision of Children's Memorial and take what they learn back to their families, places of work and neighborhoods.

They can serve as advocates on issues that affect the health and well being of children. They may also help connect Children's Memorial to otherwise untapped resources that benefit the medical center in a variety of ways.

In addition to facilitating volunteer work at Children's Memorial, Volunteer Resources promotes volunteerism in general by collaborating with other organizations that use volunteers, and by sharing information with volunteer candidates about other opportunities to help in the community.

Volunteer Resources also serves as a source of information for Children's Memorial employees who seek volunteer opportunities, either within or outside the medical center.

Encouraging volunteerism, not just at Children's Memorial, expands benefits to the whole community and supports Children's Memorial's vision of a brighter future for all children.
