K.I.D.S.S. for Kids, Inc.
K.I.D.S.S. for Kids, Inc. (Kindness Is Doing Something Special for Kids) is an all-volunteer, non-profit fundraising auxiliary of Children’s Memorial Hospital.
Founded in 1991, K.I.D.S.S. for Kids has become one of the largest and fastest-growing auxiliaries at the hospital. All fundraising activities benefit the hospitals’ Family Support Services programs, which focus on the emotional well being of the patients and their families. These programs range from therapeutic play, socialization and specialized education for children with serious illnesses to the emotional and spiritual healing provided by Heartlight, one of the nation’s premier family bereavement programs. These programs are integral to the overall emotional healing process for a child and his/her family. Without the philanthropy of K.I.D.S.S. for Kids, many of these programs would be significantly curtailed or even eliminated. Our mission is to ensure that these programs remain available to each and every patient at Children’s Memorial.
To date K.I.D.S.S. for Kids has raised over $5 million to support Family Services and the patients and families treated at Children’s Memorial Hospital.
