Employee giving programs

Payroll deductions are an easy and convenient way for employees to contribute to the health and well-being of children in our community.

Annual appeals or ongoing payroll deductions allow employees to directly contribute to the health and well-being of children in our community. Our staff can assist with internal communications by presenting at your campaign kick-off, providing sample forms, and acknowledging employee donations.

Children's Memorial is a proud member of the Community Health Charities of Illinois, an organization that raises funds for its members through workplace giving campaigns.

RLCA's Giving Program

RLCA employee and father of two Michael Schenk says he gives to Children's Memorial through payroll deductions because it is a cause close to his heart. “It's good to know that if something happened to one of my kids, they would have access to the best care and technology in the region,” says Schenk. “But I would contribute even if I was not a dad because I believe all kids deserve the best when they are sick or injured.”

RLCA encourages employees to decide how their contributions should benefit the hospital. Schenk and his co-workers chose to fund a series of sleeper chairs/recliners that allow parents to stay by their child's bedside. In addition, they supported the Partners with Parents program, which provides gift cards to parents of patients who are of limited financial means, enabling them to buy groceries, school supplies, medication, etc.
