The Children's Service Board
In 1986, The Children’s Service Board, previously the Extension Board, became affiliated with Children’s Memorial Hospital – formally uniting a proven volunteer force of 65 women with Chicago’s most respected pediatric health care institution. Since partnering with Children’s Memorial, The Children’s Service Board has become one of the most active and successful philanthropic affiliated organizations supporting the hospital’s mission of health care excellence to children and families throughout Chicago.
2007 was an exceptional year for The Children’s Service Board as we raised $2 million to support our commitment to the needs and programs of Children’s Memorial, including the Family Services Palliative Care Program and the new Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. The 52nd Annual Gold Coast Fashion Award Show raised $479,000. The Children’s Service Board has contributed nearly $12 million to Children's Memorial Hospital since 1986.
