The Sixth International Pediatric Intestinal Failure and Rehabilitation Symposium will be held in Chicago, September 9-11, 2010. Children's Memorial Hospital and Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh are co-sponsoring this conference that focuses on pediatric intestinal rehabilitation and transplantation.
The three-day course will focus on new discoveries and developments concerning the etiology, pathophysiology, surgical and nonsurgical therapies and outcomes-based research for intestinal failure. The format of the program includes a combination of didactic sessions and interactive panel discussions in an exploration of timely and controversial issues.
The symposium is designed for pediatricians, neonatologists, transplant surgeons, gastroenterologists, pediatric surgeons, family practice physicians, nurses, dietitians, mid-level providers and parents/guardians who care for children with intestinal failure and small bowel transplants. All other health professionals are also welcome.
