This course is the 19th in a series of timely, one-day symposia for
pediatricians, family practitioners and other clinicians wanting to advance
their knowledge in the areas of dyshpagia, post-cancer care, painful scrotum,
quality standards and measurement and anxiety in children and adolescents.
At the end of this conference, participants will be able to:
- List symptoms suggestive of congenital anomalies as the cause of
dysphagia. Describe the method for evaluation of functional dysphagia and
treatment options. Describe medical therapy for dysphagia.
- Discuss the more common long-term issues with treatment for cancer.
- List two reasons to measure quality in your office.
- List the differential diagnosis of the painful scrotum and the red flags
for immediate surgical intervention.
- List the criteria for diagnosis of anxiety disorders in children.
