The following are four audio sessions recorded on the topic of bedwetting.
- Pediatric urologist Max Maizels, MD, introduces the topic. He explains how he became interested in helping children with bedwetting and discusses the origin and basics of the "Try for Dry" program.
- Advanced practice nurse Dawn Diaz-Saldano, who works closely with Dr. Maizels in the program, explains the development of normal bladder function and the basic physiology of wetting, its causes and more.
- Diaz-Saldano goes into more detail on the typical course of bedwetting assessment and treatment. She discusses the use of the three-day diary, bedwetting alarms, medications, foods that may cause problems, and constipation.
- Finally, Diaz-Saldano explains how the program can be tapered when the child reaches the goal of 14 consecutive dry days and nights. She also discusses trouble-shooting when problems occur.
