The transplant unit is a state-of-the-art facility with six unidirectional positive pressure laminar airflow isolation rooms.

Each room is equipped with a TV, VCR/DVD for the patient's use. Throughout the transplant process, Child Life specialists play an integral role. With expertise in child development , these specialists are trained to support the emotional, social, educational and developmental needs of stem cell transplant patients and their families.

Our multidisciplinary team of professionals is available during the transplant period to respond to the medical, social and emotional needs of the child and family.

Our Ambulatory Stem Cell Unit (ASCU) is a state-of-the-art facility that allows us to:

  • Perform outpatient stem cell transplants
  • Administer post-transplant comprehensive supportive care
  • Perform peripheral blood stem cell harvests for donors of all ages
