Medical imaging equipment
The Department of Medical Imaging performs and
interprets more than 105,000 imaging studies each year. The department has a
fully integrated PACS system with a speech recognition dictation system and state-of-the-art equipment, including:
- Four digital fluoroscopy units that have been
specially programmed to minimize radiation exposure
- Nine Acuson Sequoia ultrasound machines with color
Doppler
- Three CT machines, including 16-slice and 64-slice
multidetector units that are prescribed
individually to minimize patient exposure
- Two 1.5T GE MRI units, including one with cardiac
imaging capability
- An IR Suite with Antares ultrasound machine and
Phillips Biplane Allura unit
- Nuclear Medicine equipment with dual head
SPECT cameras
- PET/CT
