Medical imaging equipment

The Department of Medical Imaging performs and interprets more than 105,000 imaging studies each year. The department has a fully integrated PACS system with a speech recognition dictation system and state-of-the-art equipment, including:

  • Four digital fluoroscopy units that have been specially programmed to minimize radiation exposure
  • Nine Acuson Sequoia ultrasound machines with color Doppler
  • Three CT machines, including 16-slice and 64-slice multidetector units that are prescribed individually to minimize patient exposure
  • Two 1.5T GE MRI units, including one with cardiac imaging capability
  • An IR Suite with Antares ultrasound machine and Phillips Biplane Allura unit
  • Nuclear Medicine equipment with dual head SPECT cameras
  • PET/CT
