Pediatric residents
Pediatric residents spend part of their first and third years doing a
rotation in Child Abuse. This training includes, but is not limited to
Spending time with various organizations such as the Department of Children
and Family Services, the Child Protection Center at Columbus Hospital; Columbus
Maryville; and Juvenile Court.
Learning about different aspects of child advocacy such as testifying in
court, how to obtain a psycho-social history, and forensic examination and
evaluation.
