Research

The PHP team is active in research to look at long term outcomes for children who go home on ventilators. Currently more than 100 families of children who have been discharged home from Children’s Memorial Hospital on ventilators over the last 20 years have been contacted to find out if their children are still on ventilators and what their level of function is physically, cognitively and socially. We hope that this research will support the benefits we see in children on ventilators living at home with their families.
