After your analysis
After the athlete's appointment, our biomedical engineers or
kinesiologist will compile all of the athlete's biomechanical data. The
athlete's mechanics will be compared to our database consisting of pitchers
ranging from youth to major league levels. Then, the entire Sports Biomechanics
Program staff meets to discuss, integrate and analyze the collected
information.
During this meeting our team develops a summary of the athlete's
pitching motion, determines recommendations for improving the pitching
efficiency and mechanics, and identifies any risk factors for injury. The
athlete should receive the results of this comprehensive analysis one to two weeks after
their appointment. The results are provided as a written report featuring and an
interactive CD.
The report includes:
- 3-D biomechanical animation with synchronized with
video of pitching motion
- Graphical data of all relevant joint movements
- Recommendations and training tools to improve pitching biomechanics and
performance and reduce the risk of injury
