Mood and anxiety program
The mood and anxiety program provides evidence-based assessment and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders in children and adolescents. Diagnoses evaluated and treated in this program include major and minor depression, separation anxiety, generalized anxiety, social phobia, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder and selective mutism. Services provided in this program include comprehensive diagnostic evaluation (including semi-structured interviews and parent, teacher and self-report questionnaires), consultation, psychopharmacological intervention and therapy.
Therapy is provided in individual, family and group formats as needed and relies heavily on cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. Bilingual services are available for assessment and therapy in Spanish. Upon completion of the diagnostic evaluation, a multidisciplinary team of clinicians reviews each case and provides treatment recommendations. As this is an evidence-based clinic, we are interested in treatment response and therefore collect ongoing information from parents and children about symptom changes throughout treatment.
Pediatric neuropsychiatry program
