Special interests

Interests include all pediatric healthcare issues both nationally and internationally, with special focus on pediatric oncology and stem cell transplantation. Current research focuses on late effects of pediatric stem cell transplant survivors, especially exostoses.

Postgraduate training

As an Advanced Practice Nurse for the STAR (Survivors Taking Action & Responsibility) Program, she performs annual comprehensive physical and psychosocial evaluations for all SCT survivors, at least one year post transplant.
Prior to these roles, she was the Advanced Practice Nurse responsible for facilitating the development of the Stem Cell Transplant Program at Children’s Memorial Hospital in 1992, and saw acute Stem Cell Transplant patients clinically for over ten years.
