Frequently asked questions

How are allergies diagnosed?

How are allergy tests done?

Who will we see during the visit?

How should we prepare for the visit?

It is necessary for a parent or legal guardian to accompany the patient to the initial visit so a thorough evaluation can be completed. Allow two to three hours for the visit. Discontinue any medications containing an antihistamine five days before the appointment, so skin testing may be performed. There is no need to stop any other medications. Please bring with you all the medications that your child may be taking, as well as peak flow meters and aerochambers.
