Lead evaluation
Lead poisoning continues to be a common environmental disease of
young children.
Services provided in the lead evaluation program include comprehensive care for
children with elevated blood lead levels. These include identification of lead sources,
education regarding lead poisoning prevention, environmental case management coordination with public
health departments and, when indicated, the use of medications
to reduce the levels of lead in the body.
