This one-day symposium for healthcare providers will address various
conditions and injuries that can occur in the young athlete. Sports-related
activities among children and adolescents continue to rise and the primary care
practitioner is often the first to diagnose certain ailments and conditions.
Throughout the day, our experts will address some of the more common conditions
and dangers that athletes may face and offer guidelines on how to improve
patient care and a positive outcome.
At the end of this conference, participants will be able to:
- Determine when athletes can return to play after a sport-related
concussion.
- Recommend appropriate nutrition and hydration for young athletes.
- Assess sports injuries in the primary care office setting.
- Complete a joint exam and make the proper
assessment.
